Granite City Kennel Club (GCKC)is a all-breed dog club based in St. Cloud, Minnesota It is licensed by the American Kennel Club (AKC) and is notably the only club to have evolved from a specialized obedience club into a full-service all-breed and obedience organization.
The club focuses on promoting responsible dog ownership and making dogs better household companions through various programs:
- Training Classes: The GCKC holds conformation classes every Thursday at 7:15 PM at Excel Dog Training in St. Cloud. These “drop-in” sessions cost $5.00 per dog and require no pre-registration, catering to all skill levels from beginners to experienced handlers.
- Annual Dog Shows: The club hosts two all-breed dog shows annually in October at the McLeod County Fairgrounds in Hutchinson, MN. These events are part of the Crow River Fall Classic, a four-day show cluster held in partnership with the Wright County Kennel Club.
