Wright County Minnesota Kennel Club (WCKC) is an all-breed dog club that holds American Kennel Club (AKC) sanctioned events. The club is a member of the larger Crow River Fall Classic cluster of dog shows held annually in October.
- Decades of Operation: The WCKC has been hosting all-breed dog shows for over 34 years.
- The Crow River Fall Classic: For most of its history, the club has partnered with its “sister club,” the Granite City Kennel Club, to host a four-day show cluster known as the Crow River Fall Classic.
- Venue: While named for Wright County, the club’s primary annual shows have historically been held at the McLeod County Fairgrounds in Hutchinson, MN.
- Growth and Events: By 2010, the club’s annual show featured more than 800 dogs representing various AKC breeds. In addition to conformation shows, the club has expanded to include events such as 4-6 Month Beginner Puppy (BPUP) competitions, multiple Specialty shows, Open Shows and our annual B Match.
- Community and Membership: The club maintains an active local presence, holding regular membership meetings and social events, such as holiday parties at locations within Wright County MN. We also offer online meeting options for our board and general membership meetings. https://www.facebook.com/wcmkc
